Mountain In My Eyes

Just 21 feet shy of Mountain status (if you listen to geologists) Mount Arvon is Michigan's highest peak; standing 1979.238 feet tall. Even though it missed official mountain status, the state of Michigan actually ranks 38th of all states. Not as bad as I thought it would have been. After a long curvy drive and a short walk you can add your name to the guest book and notate the number of peaks you have visited (#1 for me). The view of Lake Superior and Abbaye Peninsula is great and the Keweenaw Peninsula in the distance is a nice bonus.
