A splash of cold water soaking the base of the Frankfort Lighthouse in Frankfort, Michigan. I loved the contrast of everything white in this view against the colorful Lake Michigan water.
A hole in the clouds allowed for the sun to put a spotlight on the rocks at the base of Miner's Castle at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It only happened for a few seconds at a time as the cloud cover was pretty heavy. The first time it happened I was facing the wrong way so I patiently waited for another hole in the clouds and just hoped it would hit the rocks again. Luckily after about 20 minutes it happened again and was well worth the wait.
With so many waterfalls in the Keweenaw peninsula it is hard to pick which ones to visit. After much debate I picked Middle Hungarian Falls because I liked the large rock face the waterfall comes over and the secluded area you can hang out and view these falls.
