Little Sable Point Lighthouse in Mears, Michigan is a sight to see. The drive to the lighthouse makes you question if you are going the right way as you drive through a coastal neighborhood. Once through the neighborhood the top of the lighthouse peaks out, letting you know you made it. "Sight To See" Little Sable Point Lighthouse, Mears, Michigan
As a result of high wind and the polar vortex, the Grand Haven Lighthouse got encased in thick heavy ice. It was fascinating to see this lighthouse from the north pier because as I walked down the pier I immediately thought the lighthouse looked like a frozen ship.
It seemed like every road you drove down was incredible for fall colors this year in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was really hard not to stop at every turn of the road and snap shots like this. Beautiful scenes like this were not without obstacles, just hours before I shot this it was white out conditions that made the roads undrivable. I'll take a little snow for scenes like this any day.
