Wanting to find more of "fall" I decided to take a detour down a narrow road. I was rewarded with this beautiful pine forest with the fall colors popping through the background.
Laughing Whitefish Falls is a fantastic waterfall to visit in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This 100 foot waterfall is unique because it has a long cascading fall to the pool below. It is a short easy .6 mile hike to the top of the falls. You can reach the bottom via MANY steps, all worth it though! I loved the movement of the water/foam in the pool, spinning around before it went down the river.
Lovely S Curve during peak colors in Marquette County, Michigan.
