While doing some local hiking on a wintery day, I found this view. I loved that the river was flowing because it provided it nice contrast with the white snow. As an added bonus I was able to capture this leaning tree reflecting over the river, almost completing a perfect circle.
The beautiful wet snow stuck to everything it could. I loved the contrast of the snow and the open water. Although, this shot could almost pass as a black and white image it is actually in color.
No matter where you are you can always find beauty around you. This Mid-Michigan park; Eastgate Park is no exception. If you follow those footprints you will reach the start of the trailhead. The trail leads you into the woods where you can follow along the side of the Red Cedar River.
