When photographing waterfalls I love getting in the water to really show the beauty of the waterfall. However, standing in the "bathtub" like valley, you couldn't help but feel small as you look up around the tall steep walls around you.
Michigan is very lucky to have so many beautiful state parks and I know I have just scratched the surface of these parks. One of my favorite thus far is Silver Lake Sand Dunes State Park in Mears, Michigan. I love that the winters change the dunes each year and that the change also reveals these interesting stumps
Blue Ice piles up near the Mackinac Bridge in the Straits of Mackinac. Some ice was 24 inches thick and some piles were taller than 30 feet.
