It seemed like every road you drove down was incredible for fall colors this year in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was really hard not to stop at every turn of the road and snap shots like this. Beautiful scenes like this were not without obstacles, just hours before I shot this it was white out conditions that made the roads undrivable. I'll take a little snow for scenes like this any day.
While visiting the Muskegon Lighthouse in Muskegon, Michigan it was extremely foggy. At times I couldn't even see the top of the lighthouse. Because I couldn't see anything but the lighthouse it allowed me to focus only on the lighthouse. As it turns out, I was actually grateful for the fog because it allowed me to view perspectives of this lighthouse that I might not have normally observed.
There is so much beauty to find while walking around the Silver Lake Sand Dunes State Park in Mears, Michigan. I liked how the softness of the wispy clouds paired with the Marram grass and the ripples of the sand.
