Between The Clouds

The sun sunk between the clouds on a warm spring night at Miners Castle in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Illuminated

With the sun slowing peaking over the horizon, the ice caves were illuminated. The sun shined on the inside, lighting up the massive icicles.

Beach Bliss

Michigan has so many fantastic beaches but one of my favorites is Chapel beach in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This beach has great sand, stones perfect for skipping, cliff edges, a beach waterfall that you can walk through and just when you think that's enough it has a very cool rock formation that has a beautiful tree on it whos roots traverse air to get to the shore to survive. It is a pretty special place. Oh and you can only get there via boat or a long hike.

The Light Switch Over

As one light sets the other takes over. Little Sable Lighthouse is becoming one of my favorite lighthouses. It was so peaceful to sit and enjoy the sunset as the clouds got painted with brilliant colors. Little Sable Point Lighthouse, Mears, Michigan

This beautiful Michigan hidden gem is seen from a side path off of the North Country Trail in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Upper Peninsula, Michigan. If you step three more feet it drops almost 200 feet!

Fall Bliss

This sunset changed into so many different colors while it was setting, it was awesome! Every person that walked up said "WOW!" Sunset at Presque Isle Park in Marquette, Michigan.

Stormy Country Field

Severe thunderstorm warning was issued Friday, July 8th 2016 for Lansing, Michigan and the surrounding areas. The storm had a top wind speed of 63 miles an hour, it knocked down hundreds of trees and knocked power out to thousands of people.

Aurora Hide & Seek

The aurora borealis hid behind some clouds during an almost full moon at Miners Castle in Munising, Michigan on October 13th 2016 about 8:30pm.

Reflecting Beauty

I love this shot! It really shows the warmness of this night. The sunset was nice and soft against the blue icebergs. This wonderful place is Jokulsarlon, Iceland. If I had one place I could visit on my return trip, this would be it.

Tropical...Storms

As many of you know I love to photograph the Mackinac Bridge. I have been wanting to capture the bridge with beautiful thunderstorms clouds for years. Time and time again it was simply too nice out. Well after years I finally got it! I loved that the sun lit up the water near the shoreline and gave the water a tropical feel.

Boat House Haven

One of my favorite places in Copper Harbor, Michigan to visit is a place called Bare Bluff. After hiking straight up you get to the top and get to see a view that seems to goes on forever. Although it is easy to take a shot of the wide expansive view. I choose to zoom in on the interesting bays along the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. I called this photograph "Boat House Haven" because in the last bay you can see a boat house that has quite the location and view.

Eye Popping Fall

Last fall had so many amazing sunrises and sunsets, the daily weather conditions were always changing and always dramatic. The fall colors all seemed to change at the same time creating beauty no matter where you went. It is going to hard to top last year but I am surly going to have fun trying!
