The blue ice at the Mackinac Bridge had a lot of character. I really had a lot of fun walking around (near shore) and checking out these features the ice had. You can see from this photograph how the ice broke up and how these piles actually were formed. It was interesting to see the icebergs under the ice too, making me wonder what was going on under those massive 30 foot piles.
The cascading of waves rush onto the brittle shore near Marquette, Michigan one fall day. I loved the colors of the rocks along the shore and that you could physically see the shore change right before your eyes.
The Chapel-Mosquito Loop Trail in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one of my favorite trails in the state of Michigan, because the trail gives you so many beautiful views. The trail leads you along the coast of Lake Superior with many massive cliffs, cool rock formations, and the hike to the shoreline is nothing short of awesome as well because you get to see several waterfalls.
