Laughing Whitefish Falls in Sundell, Michigan on October 9th 2011
Laughing Whitefish Falls is a fantastic waterfall to visit in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This 100 foot waterfall is unique because it has a long cascading fall to the pool below. It is a short easy .6 mile hike to the top of the falls. You can reach the bottom via MANY steps, all worth it though! I loved the movement of the water/foam in the pool, spinning around before it went down the river.
Leatherby Falls is a wild and very remote waterfall in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Although it is not a large waterfall it is a very unique waterfall because of the interesting pitting on the basalt (volcanic) rock.
