Looking down at Ruby Beach in the Olympic National Park, Washington in June of 2012
Just after an artic blast, we had a break between the freezing temperatures and the continuous snowfall so I jumped at the chance to check out the frozen Lake Michigan lighthouses. My first visit was the Grand Haven Lighthouse. I took so many pictures that day but one stood out because it was so different. It was different because it was an up close and personal shot of the lighthouse and the ice looked like frozen eye lashes.
Just as the sun was setting the Dyrhólaey Lighthouse in Dyrhólaey, Iceland, turned its light on. It was such a warm light that balanced nicely with the sunlight and the lovely spring flowers.
