With Spring comes thunderstorms and on a warm spring night in May of 2018 that's what we got. The large storm was north of my location allowing me to capture this beautiful sight. I loved that you could see the stars above the storm. It was an added bonus that the moon was almost full which allowed you to see the reflection of the storm on the pond.
With strong wind out of the north west, waves built on Lake Michigan and eventually crashed over the breakwall at the St. Joseph Lighthouse in St. Joseph, Michigan. It was fascinating to watch how each wave hit the breakwall differently. It was difficult to choose one picture over another but I liked how this one showed the force of which these waves had.
