Little Sable Point Lighthouse in Mears, Michigan is a sight to see. The drive to the lighthouse makes you question if you are going the right way as you drive through a coastal neighborhood. Once through the neighborhood the top of the lighthouse peaks out, letting you know you made it. "Sight To See" Little Sable Point Lighthouse, Mears, Michigan
Living in a state surrounded by the great lakes naturally means we have many lighthouses. We are lucky to have lighthouses in all different shapes, colors and sizes. There are so many in this state that it makes it hard to stop and visit them all. This winter was the first time I visited the Charlevoix Lighthouse despite driving through the town many times. I am glad I took the time to stop. I thought the lighthouse was very interesting and wanted to shoot a photo focused on the big red door that intrigued me.
Living in Michigan you learn to appreciate the Great Lakes and the many lighthouses we have. I loved that the sunset gave this lovely a wonderful backdrop.
