The Chapel-Mosquito Loop Trail in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one of my favorite trails in the state of Michigan, because the trail gives you so many beautiful views. The trail leads you along the coast of Lake Superior with many massive cliffs, cool rock formations, and the hike to the shoreline is nothing short of awesome as well because you get to see several waterfalls.
The cliffs on this part of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore shoreline are not as tall as the western cliffs but are equally as beautiful and are well worth the hike. The rocks at the bottom of this area have an unique pitting, almost reminding me of a old tropical reef.
The colors at the Grand Island Ice Caves were just amazing. I couldn’t get over how colorful they were and how many different shades of colors they were. It was a really nice bonus to an already amazing sight.
