Not only is Seljalandsfoss is a beautiful waterfall in southern Iceland, it is also a fun waterfall to pronounce; Sel-ja-lands-foss. This is a unique waterfall because you can actually walk behind this waterfall. You might get soaking wet but you can walk behind it. As you can tell the waterfall cast off is large and many times it creates a pretty rainbow.
While visiting the famous Geysir in Iceland, stop along the trail to see this view. I loved the colors of the stream, the steam coming off the hot pots and the spring/summer flowers. I find it fascinating that these flowers can live in such a high environment.
This glacier is Svínafellsjökull, in southern Iceland, it is sometimes referred to as a tongue glacier. The reason for that is that this glacier is actually part of a the massive ice cap called Vatnajökull. Svínafellsjökull comes off of Vatnajökull and slides between two mountains making it look like a tongue.
