While visiting the famous Geysir in Iceland, stop along the trail to see this view. I loved the colors of the stream, the steam coming off the hot pots and the spring/summer flowers. I find it fascinating that these flowers can live in such a high environment.
This glacier is Svínafellsjökull, in southern Iceland, it is sometimes referred to as a tongue glacier. The reason for that is that this glacier is actually part of a the massive ice cap called Vatnajökull. Svínafellsjökull comes off of Vatnajökull and slides between two mountains making it look like a tongue.
Beautiful icebergs glisten on the black diamond beach near the Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon on the south coast of Iceland. There were so many icebergs to choose from it was hard to pick one over the other. Trying to avoid the large rouge waves that like to capture camera equipment and people I was able to capture the very movement that causes these iceberg to visit this black beach.
